Revealing how she had washed the romper, Kate added: "I soaked in hot water and just poured in some ace. Left for an hour then put on a 60 wash. With usual Ariel and lenor."

The product is currently on offer at Morrisons - costing £1 instead of the usual £2.

After spotting the impressive results, fellow parents and cleaning fans were quick to comment.

"I love this stuff been using years I also use to clean my floors as it smells nicer than normal bleach," wrote one Facebook user.

"Amazing stuff," said somebody else.

A third added: "This stuff is great."

It's not the only savvy cleaning hack which has been popular amongst social media as of late.

Earlier this week, another washing tip went viral - this time using 79p white vinegar spray.

Posting on a  Facebook  cleaning tips group, savvy shopper Emma Louise revealed how she gets her clothes feeling and smelling amazing by adding a cap of white vinegar to her washing.

She wrote: "Well after reading all your posts lately about ditching the softener and adding a capful of white vinegar to the washing instead, I jumped on the bandwagon and I am AMAZED - my washing has never smelt so nice or clean! And my washing machine is sparkling."

Savvy shopper Emma continued: "Any white vinegar is fine but I used this one, in Aldi at the minute 79p I think it was.. about an egg cup sized amount straight into the drawer in place of softener, and I use liquid tabs so they are in the drum.

"There is no vinegar smell on clothes I just get a much much stronger smell of detergent.. I have put my heating on slightly tonight and my house smells amazing."
