People are just realising you can remove oven door to clean it and it's mind-boggling

Without a doubt, ovens are incredibly difficult to clean. The awkward angles makes it one of the most gruelling appliances to tackle within our home - often meaning that it's left for extended periods of time.

However, a recently surfaced TikTok has revealed a life-changing solution to tackle the awkward appliance and make it a breeze to clean. A social media star - who has raked in his 1.3 million+ following on account @that40yearguy by experimenting with popular life hacks - tried out the method of removing his oven door first-hand and was in utter disbelief by the results.

Sharing a clip trying the hack on the popular video-streaming service, the TikToker's video has surpassed a whopping 28.2 million views to date.

After witnessing a video of a man documenting how to remove his oven door with ease, the TikToker was keen to discover whether the footage was accurate.

Initially, he was in shock after witnessing the clip, explaining that he tends to refuse cleaning his oven due to the inconvenience. Yet, he was eager to give it a try.

He questioned: "You're telling me for 40 years of refusing to clean my oven because I didn't want to lay across the door, it was that easy to just take it off?"

"Ain't no way!" He added.

Rushing to his kitchen, the TikToker warned viewers not to 'make fun of how dirty [his] oven is'.

Following the tutorial, he pulled open his oven door and reached down inside. At the bottom, he found two metal locks.

The instructions encouraged people to open the locks, move the door up slightly and simply lift it out from the slotted alignment.

Once the TikToker slid his oven door off with his ease, he laughed in disbelief and beamed over his new discovery.

Captioning the post, he wrote: "My oven is gonna be sparking."

It's not confirmed which ovens feature a fully removable door, so it's worth considering this hack with precaution as it may only be functional for certain brands.

Since posting, the video has raked in over 17,000 comments to date but it appeared that people noticed a common problem with the hack.

One person wrote: "Wish I didn't immediately try this and succeed only to spend 25 mins trying to put it back on right again."

"Okay how do I get it back on now," a second added.

Someone else wrote: "There's no way I'd be able to put that back properly."

Meanwhile, someone else wrote: "Dude I literally don't believe anything until you verify it."
