People are just discovering 'genius' way to fold fitted sheets

Few of us enjoy the task of making the bed as it can be a huge faff, especially if you're using a fitted bedsheet.

Getting a double cover onto the duvet can also feel impossible if you're doing it by yourself. And then, if you've got a number of fitted sheets, you need to store them somewhere.

Trying to fold fitted sheets seems utterly pointless, and it can be extremely tempting to just chuck them away somewhere. But one man has now shared how you can fold them with no fuss, the Mirror reports.

On Instagram Lennia Mc, aka Folding Queen, shared a quick and easy hack to correctly fold fitted sheets to keep them nice and fresh looking.

She started by laying out the fitted sheet flat on her floor before grabbing the two bottom corners and tucking them inside the top ones. Then, she folded a third of the way from the bottom toward the middle of the sheet. The far side was then folded into the middle, repeating the process on the other side.

She then folded everything into the middle to make the sheet thinner, and folded it again twice, to leave a neat square shape. Lennia's post was recently shared by Dustin Hadley, who posts on Instagram as @that40yearguy.

He said: "You're telling me for 40 years I've been wadding up my fitted sheets and throwing them under the bed I could've been doing this? No way".

In the comments, people were impressed with the fancy technique. One said: "This is genius, and I was today years old man." A second added: "It's common sense", while a third said: "I'm not doing all that",

A fourth said: "What does it matter how those are folded? I get clothes, but that thing is so tight on the bed no wrinkles survive!"
