A recent look at the daunting, dangerous and adrenaline-fuelled Redbull Cliff Diving has fuelled onlookers with dread due to its mix of heights, slippery slopes, windy terrain, choppy waters and ladders.
At present, preparations are underway at Downpatrick Head for the Redbull Cliff Diving.
The event will take on September 12 and divers from across the world will test their skills against the backdrop of a rugged coastal landscape, towering cliffs and staggering views of the Atlantic Ocean.
Downpatrick Head will play host to the world’s elite cliff divers for the fifth Irish edition of the event, however, a recent look at what's in store for the professional divers has scared the bejaysus out of any onlookers.
In a post online, Midwest Radio asked: "Would you climb these ladders?" and the answers were as you'd expect.
"My legs have gone wobbly just looking at this," "not a hope in hell" and "I wouldn't even be at the bottom never mind make it to the top," were some of the replies.
After three stops at Inis Mór, and a 2019 showing in Dún Laoighre in front of 150,000 viewers, the series heads to the West again where the Atlantic waters will once again test these talented athletes to their limits
