People are going crazy over house plants during lockdown

With many people spending a lot more time at home during lockdown, DIY and house makeovers have increased in popularity.

Whether it's buying some new decor or taking on a bigger project, it seems like a fresh new look is helping many people keep their minds occupied.

House plants aren't anything new, but a lot of keen DIY-ers are adding some colour to their living spaces with some greenery.

And, you are itching to get back in your garden this spring, home plants are a great way to satisfy your green fingers, Surrey Live reports.

Some plants are less easy to kill by accident than others, so if you are an absolute beginner, SurreyLive has made a list of the ones that are easiest to look after.

Fitness celeb Zanna van Dijk moved into her Surrey home last year and has kitted her house out with a fantastic display of plants.

She has launched an Instagram page with her boyfriend, dedicated to refurbishing their new pad.

Named @oursurreynest it has more than 50,000 followers.
