People are excited over a trailer for The View without Meghan McCain

Fans of the show are happy to hear Meghan McCain won’t be returning

The View has taken to their official Twitter account on Monday with a teaser for their upcoming series of the show.

After a short summer break, the ABC show is back – without the presence of one problematic co-host, Meghan McCain. The clip showed the dark studio with five empty chairs reserved for the talk show hosts, Whoopi Goldberg, Joy Behar, Sunny Hostin and Sara Haines. The fifth remains a mystery for whoever will replace McCain.

Instead of showing shots of the co-hosts, they can be heard over voiceover. One kicks off with “I’ve always wanted to do a show with women of different backgrounds and views.”

“Have no fear, The View girls are here!” Behar says.

“The thing that never changes on The View is its great conversations with great women,” Goldberg adds.

Understandably, social media were ecstatic about McCain’s absence and took to Twitter to express their excitement for the show to return. One tweeted, “I will return to watching #theview now that she who shall not be named is gone.”

“They didn’t even mention or use Meghan McCain’s voice in this! so we’re just going to act like she didn’t happen? I’m down lol”, another added.

A third added, “If you bring another toxic person like @MeghanMcCain I will not watch”
