People are calling out TikTok star Addison Rae after she landed UFC reporter gig

Social media influencer Addison Rae is being called out by journalists and others alike after landing a job as a red carpet correspondent for the UFC.

Rae, whose rise to fame includes a guest stint on Keeping Up With the Kardashians and a nearly 82 million following on TikTok, took to Twitter to share some of photos of her on the UFC red carpet complete with the caption:

“I studied broadcast journalism in college for 3 whole months to prepare for this moment.”

Rae briefly attended LSU, where she studied sports broadcasting (“for three whole months”) before leaving college to focus on her career as an influencer, according to Distractify.

The reaction to Rae’s post, as you can imagine, was not good. Even if she intended it to be a joke, it did not sit well with people. Especially when it comes to Rae’s tone-deaf caption that many, especially journalists, found insulting.
