People across UK see partial solar eclipse

About a quarter of the Sun's light was blocked out across the UK on Tuesday in a partial solar eclipse.The celestial phenomenon happens when the Moon passes between the Earth and the Sun. Around a quarter of the Sun's disc was obscured over the UK in Tuesday's eclipse.The next partial eclipse that will be visible from the UK happens in March 2025 – while the country will not see a total solar eclipse until 2090.
