Penzance murder: Woman stabbed to death in isolated Crowlas home

A woman was found by police stabbed to death at an isolated home near Penzance.

Devon and Cornwall police have launched a murder probe following the suspicious death of the woman, in her 40s, at home in Crowlas.

Firearms and local officers, and paramedics found the woman dead at the scene with knife wounds at 7am this morning.

Police are still trying to inform the family of the deceased woman before she can be formally identified.

A 22-year-old man from the Penzance area has been arrested on suspicion of murder and remains in police custody at this time.

Officers remain at the scene and enquiries are ongoing.
