Spring is here, and that means... the start of the new financial year.
Beginning today (April 6), the start of the new financial year brings with it amendments to benefit payments delivered by the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP).
Claimants will see the changes to their weekly and monthly rates from April 12 after the DWP recently confirmed the 0.5 per cent increase.
These include Universal Credit, Personal Independence Payment (PIP), State Pension and legacy benefits such as Jobseekers Allowance, Disability Living Allowance (DLA), Employment and Support Allowance (ESA), Income Support and Housing Benefit.
Of course, this can be confusing - but fear not.
