Pensioner's purse stolen in Aldi - police want to speak to this man

Police have released CCTV images of a man they want to speak after an elderly woman's purse was stolen in a supermarket.

The woman in her 80s was shopping in the Aldi store in Newtown, Wigan, when she was targeted by a thief.

The purse contained cash and a number of items of sentimental value.

Police have released CCTV footage of a man they want to speak to in connection with the incident.

The woman's purse was taken at around noon on Monday, April 8.

Anyone who recognises the man or has information is asked to call police on 0161 856 7067.

Reports can also be made via Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
