Pensioner's body found in Falkirk home as emergency crews race to scene

The body of a woman has been found in a property in Falkirk.

Emergency services were called to reports of a sudden death at Simpson Drive in Maddiston, at around 11am yesterday morning Tuesday January 4.

A 67-year-old woman was tragically found inside. The pensioner's death is not being treated as suspicious.

Locals reported seeing ambulances and two police vans outside the property.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "We received report of the sudden death of a 67-year-old woman within a property on Simpson Drive in Maddiston, Falkirk, around 11am on Tuesday, 4 January, 2022.

"The death is not being treated as suspicious and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal."
