A pensioner was rushed to hospital with serious injuries following a horror smash near Stirling.
Emergency services raced to reports of a one-vehicle collision at the Bannockburn Interchange near the M80 shortly before 7pm on Sunday, July 11.
A 73-year-old woman was taken to Forth Valley Royal Hospital following a collision involving one vehicle.
The pensioner was seriously injured in the smash but is said to be in a stable condition.
The road was shut down for a number of hours but reopened late on Sunday night.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 6.50pm on Sunday, 11 July, we received a report of a one vehicle crash on the Bannockburn interchange near the M80.
“Emergency services attended and a 73-year-old woman was taken to Forth Valley Royal Hospital with serious injuries where she remains in a stable condition.
“The road was closed for a few hours and fully reopened around 11.30pm.”
