The 65-year-old woman has been taken to Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Glasgow following the road traffic incident on Townhead Street just before 1.30pm on Monday.

Emergency services were quick to the scene and the A723 Blackswell Lane and Barncluith Road was closed in both directions for several hours.

Police say enquiries into the incident are continuing.
