A pensioner was attacked by two dogs near a shopping centre in Tyneside.
The 75-year-old woman was walking her dog on Coble Dene, near the Royal Quays Outlet Centre in North Shields, when the incident took place on August 1.
Two other dogs - a Staffordshire bull terrier and a French bulldog - ran up to her and jumped up before biting her on the legs.
She suffered bites and scratches, though her injuries have been described as minor.
The owner of the animals, which were not on a lead, left the scene.
Police have launched an investigation into the incident and are trying to trace the owner of the dogs. They are urging any witnesses to come forward.
A Northumbria Police spokesman said: "At about 12.30pm on August 1, a 75-year-old woman was walking her dog on Coble Dene, near Royal Quays, when two other dogs have ran up to her.
"She has picked up her own dog at which point the two dogs, that were not on a lead, have jumped up and ended up biting her on the legs. She suffered minor injuries during the incident.
"The dogs are described as a Staffordshire bull terrier and a French bulldog and the female owner left the scene shortly after the attack, walking away from the Royal Quays into a nearby estate.
"Enquiries are ongoing to trace the owner of the dogs. Anyone who knows her identity is encouraged to contact police on 101 quoting log 1001 01/08/19."
