A pensioner has been hospitalised with serious injuries after being knocked down by a car on a Scots road.
The 91-year-old man was hit by a white Ford Fiesta on Union Street, Greenock at around 11am on Sunday May 23.
Emergency crews raced to the scene and the man was rushed to hospital, where he remains receiving treatment.
The driver of the car, an 80-year-old man, was uninjured and helped cops at the scene.
Police probed the scene and the road was closed until around 1.30pm.
Sergeant John Bradford from Police Scotland’s Road Policing Unit, urged anyone with information to come forward.
He said: “We’re investigating the circumstances of this collision and would ask anyone who saw what happened to get in touch.
“Anyone who may have relevant dash cam footage of the pedestrian or vehicle immediately prior to, or during, the incident, is asked to provide this to officers to help our investigation.”
