Pensioner found safe and well after Ayrshire police appeal for public's help

A pensioner who sparked a late night police appeal has been traced safe and well.

Officers asked for the public's help to trace Robert Dunn, 71, after reported sightings of his car in Beith and Lochwinnoch at around 8.25pm last night.

Robert, from the Stranraer area, had been in Ayr earlier in the day to collect his motor vehicle.

Ayrshire Police have confirmed he has been traced safe and well and thanked the public for their assistance.
