Police have arrested a man after a pensioner, 75, was found dead in Lanarkshire.
Officers raced to a property in Dalziel Street, Hamilton after the alarm was raised at around 4.30pm on Sunday.
A 35-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the woman's death.
Cops confirmed that enquiries are ongoing into the incident.
A spokeswoman from Police Scotland told the Record: "A 35-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the death of a 75-year-old woman in Dalziel Street, Hamilton.
"The incident was reported at around 4.30pm on Sunday, February 9.
"Enquiries remain ongoing."
