A pensioner has been discovered unconscious on a Scots street sparking a frantic police probe.
The 70-year-old man was found on Sun Street in Stranraer at around 9.30pm on Saturday.
Mercy crews raced to the scene and the man was put into an ambulance.
Members of the public assisted the man but the moment the exact circumstances leading up to the man being discovered are unknown.
Cops are now urging anyone with any information to come forward to help with their investigation.
Police Scotland said: "We are appealing for witnesses following the report of an incident where a 70 year old man was discovered unconscious on Sun Street, Stranraer.
"The incident happened around 930pm on Saturday 7 August 2021.
"Police are keen to speak to anyone who was in the area at the time, either in a vehicle or walking.
"Anyone with any information is encouraged to speak with Police either through 101 quoting incident number 2591 of the 8th August 2021 or anonymously through Crimestoppers."
