Pensioner dies after crashing car into vehicle at repair garage in Glasgow

A pensioner has died after he crashed his car into another vehicle at a repair garage in Glasgow.

Emergency services rushed to Scotstoun Auto Repair on South Street in the city after the horror incident happened at around 3.30pm on Thursday, October 28.

The 83-year-old had driven into an unoccupied vehicle which was being repaired within the premises.

The OAP sadly died following the crash.

Police say their enquiries to establish the full circumstances of the accident are ongoing.

A report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "An 83-year-old man has died after his vehicle was involved in a collision at a vehicle repair centre on South Street in Glasgow.

“The incident happened around 3.30pm on Thursday, October 28.

“The vehicle, driven by the 83-year-old, struck an unoccupied vehicle which was being repaired within the premises.

“Enquiries to establish the full circumstances are ongoing and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal in due course.”
