Pensioner dies after being knocked down in Dundee

A pensioner has died after being knocked down in Dundee.

Pamela Cochrane, 74, was struck by by a vehicle on Glamis Road, Dundee, on Tuesday, November 12.

She was rushed to hospital but medics were unable to save her.

The driver of the vehicle was uninjured and police are appealing for information on what happened.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "A 74-year-old woman has died following a road crash in Dundee on Tuesday, 12 November, 2019.

"Around 5:10pm, police received a report of a woman being struck by a vehicle on Glamis Road, Dundee.

"Emergency services attended and the woman was taken to hospital where she died.

"The road was closed for several hours as crash scene investigators examined the scene.

"The driver of the vehicle was uninjured, however, has been left extremely distressed by the incident

"Officers are appealing for anyone who has information regarding the incident to contact them via 101, quoting incident number 2638 of 12 November 2019."
