Pensioner dead following horror crash at Glasgow repair garage

A pensioner has died after crashing his car into another vehicle at a car repair shop in Glasgow.

Emergency services raced to Scotstoun Auto Repair on South Street after the man smashed into an unoccupied vehicle at around 3.30pm on Thursday, October 28.

The 83-year-old sadly passed away following the horror incident and police have launched an enquiry to establish the full circumstances.

A report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "An 83-year-old man has died after his vehicle was involved in a collision at a vehicle repair centre on South Street in Glasgow.

“The incident happened around 3.30pm on Thursday, October 28.

“The vehicle, driven by the 83-year-old, struck an unoccupied vehicle which was being repaired within the premises.

“Enquiries to establish the full circumstances are ongoing and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal in due course.”
