Pensioner, 91, fighting for her life after horror smash in Aberdeen

A 91-year-old woman is in critical condition in hospital following a crash involving a and a van.

Two other people were also taken to hospital as a precaution following the collision in Aberdeen.

The crash, which involved a silver and a blue Peugeot 208 car, happened at around 1pm on Tuesday on the A92 North Anderson Drive at the junction with Ashgrove Road West.

Police said the 91-year-old woman was taken to with life-threatening and remains in a critical condition.

A 60-year-old woman and a 46-year-old man were also taken to hospital as a precaution.

Officers are appealing for information about the collision.

Road Policing Sergeant said: "Inquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances of the crash.

"I am appealing to any witnesses who may have seen the accident but have not yet spoken to police to come forward.

"I am also asking anyone with dashcam footage of the crash, or shortly before, that could assist our investigation to get in touch.

"I'd like to thank the public for their patience whilst we closed the road to respond to the crash and carry out our inquiries."

The road was closed in both directions for four hours and the lane for a further four hours while officers carried out their collision investigation.
