Pensioner, 88, seriously injured in horror two-car crash in Falkirk

Police have appealed for information after an 88-year-old man was hospitalised in a serious road crash in Falkirk.

Around 1.10pm yesterday, November 21, two cars - a silver Skoda Roomster and a blue Peugeot 308 - collided on Glen Brae at its junction with Slamannan Road.

The passenger of the Skoda, an 88-year-old man, was rushed to Forth Valley Royal Hospital in Larbert where he was treated for serious injuries.

No one else was injured in the accident.

The roads were closed for six hours while police conducted investigations at the scene.

Sergeant Colin Morrison, of Police Scotland’s Road Policing Unit, said: “We are carrying out enquiries to establish the full circumstances which led to this crash and would urge anyone with information to come forward.

“We would be keen to speak to anyone who witnessed the crash or who may have seen the vehicles involved beforehand.

"Anyone who was on the road around the time of the incident and may have dashcam footage which could assist with our investigation is asked to contact police.

“Any information can be passed on by calling 101, quoting incident 1688 of 21 November.”
