An elderly woman who was reported missing from hospital in Edinburgh has been found safe.
A search was launched for Joyce Shand after she was last seen at Edinburgh Royal Infirmary around 6.45am on Wednesday.
The 83-year-old suffers from dementia and police grew concerned for her welfare, saying she may have attempted to travel to the east of the city or Musselburgh.
It was thought she may have taken a bus from Little France.
Police Scotland confirmed Joyce had been found in the east of Edinburgh on Wednesday afternoon, and thanked those that shared their appeal for information.
