A pensioner has died after a horror fire in Baillieston last night.
We reported earlier that emergency services remain at the scene on Huntingtower Road after racing to tackle the flames at around 5.20pm on Saturday (April 25).
Police Scotland have confirmed a 82-year-old man died following the tragic blaze.
Police and the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service have launched a joint investigation following the fatal fire.
A spokeswoman from Police Scotland said: "Police Scotland, along with other emergencies services attended at Huntingtower Road, Ballieston in Glasgow at 5.40pm on Saturday 25 April.
"An 82-year-old died man died.
"A joint investigation will be carried out with Scottish Fire and Rescue Service but there not thought to be any suspicious circumstances.
"A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal."
