Pensioner, 81, savaged by two Staffies in horror attack at Ayrshire park

Police have launched an investigation after a pensioner was savaged by two dogs in an Ayrshire park.

The 81-year-old was bitten on her legs by two Staffordshire Bull Terriers at Fullarton Woods and required medical treatment following the attack.

Cops are now looking to speak with a man and a woman who were with the dogs on Wednesday at around 2pm at the time the animals pounced at the Troon park.

Officers confirmed today that the woman was left shaken by the horror attack.

Police Sergeant Claire Walker of Ayr Police Office said: “The woman was bitten on the legs by two Staffordshire Bull Terriers.

"She received medical treatment for her injuries and was very shaken by the incident. We are keen to trace a man and woman who were with the dogs at the time.

“I would appeal to anyone who was in the area of the woods at the time and witnessed the incident, or who has information that will assist this investigation to contact us through 101 quoting reference number 0963 of August 5, 2021.”
