Here is the moment Irvine barber Billy Frew got more than he bargained for when he turned joker on a young customer.
Billy decided it would be a good idea to prank lilttle Noah, who is a fan of horror film IT clown Pennywise while he was having his hair cut in the Bank Street barber shop on Wednesday.
But as the youngster opens his eyes and sees the clown his instincts kicked in and the tables were turned on Billy who was punched on his clown's nose.
And it was all caught on the shop's CCTV.
"Little Noah is a regular and Catrona asked him to close his eyes while she cut his fringe," laughed Billy.
"I couldn't resist as the wee fella loves the clown but I must admit I didn't expect him to bop me on the nose.
"In this case I suppose I deserved it."
