Penny Lancaster has revealed that she dresses up as ‘Lady Christmas' while wrapping her festive presents to keep her husband Rod Stewart happy.
The 50-year-old made the admissions during an appearance on Loose Women this afternoon, as the panel discussed whether or not it is worth paying someone to wrap presents for you.
It was at this point that Penny told the panel that she likes to dress up in a ‘sexy Santa’ outfit in an attempt to get Rod in the festive mood on Christmas Eve.
Penny branded the outfit as her ‘Lady Christmas’ look.
“Rod hates the mess”, she said.
“Up in the loft, I push all his stage clothes to one side and we put a decorating table up and I have everything all lined up - the wrapping paper, the bows, the tags and it’s like a little conveyor belt.
“And sometimes I dress up for it too.”
This then led to questions about the exact type of outfit she wears as part of her festive pastime.
The former model went on to reveal that Christmas isn’t exactly Rod’s favourite time of year.
“Rod doesn’t love Christmas and he can’t really wait until the decorations are down and he’s got his house back to normal”, Penny added.
“So that’s why we have lots of parties, family gatherings and carol service just to get the spirit going.
“And just to lift his mood, I put a very fatherly lady Christmas outfit on like the one I wore on Loose Women once.”
The producers of the ITV show then cut to footage of Penny wearing the festive outfit during an appearance on Loose Women during Christmas 2017.
Penny and Rod were filmed dancing to the music legend’s hit Do Ya Think I’m Sexy in front of a Christmas tree.
The pair were dressed to the nines as they performed for the viral TikTok, which has amassed over 450k likes and 6.9 million views.
