Rod Stewart was not keen when he realised his wife Penny Lancaster would be in the arms of another man during her Strictly stint.
The Loose Women star, 49, who starred on the BBC dancing series in 2007 and was partnered up with Ian Waite reflected on rocker Rod, 75, revealing his inner green-eyed monster when he thought about Penny spending her days with a man that was not him.
She explained that when she shared the good news that she had secured a spot on the iconic show that Rod's main concern was who she was dancing with as she spoke on former dance partner Ian on Instagram live as part of his his Fitsteps show Waites Wednesday.
Penny shared: "The funniest thing is my husband said, 'It's fantastic you're doing Strictly. Live your wildest dreams and go for it girl.'
"But then he was like, 'Who are you dancing with?'"
Penny continued: "I'm dancing with Ian and Rod said, 'Well, that's fine then.'"
But the rockstar's wife playfully mocked the Maggie May hitmaker's touch of jealousy as she added: "But he still got jealous. He was like, 'I've lost my wife. She's in the arms of another man. She's spending five to six hours a day with another man.'"
Confirming Rod soon got over it, the model added: "But of course he loved you [Ian] and he sends his best wishes."
Penny made it to week six of the competition ten years ago.
Rod and Penny married in 2007 and they share two sons called Alastair and Aiden.
The singer-songwriter has eight kids in total and he and his wife are currently holed up in the Florida beach house as they quarantine amid the coronavirus pandemic.
