Penneys set to open Bray store inside brand new shopping centre

Penneys are set to open a brand-new store in Bray later this year.

The new 19,600sq.ft outlet - the brand's 38th in Ireland - will be their first in Wicklow.

It's set to be an anchor tenant of the new Bray Central Shopping Centre development, just off the seaside town's Main Street.

The retailer has announced they will invest a further €250 million into the development of new stores and the refurbishment of existing ones in Ireland over the next ten years.

The investment also includes a new €75 million warehouse in Newbridge, which is under construction.

"Works will commence on the new store in the coming weeks, and we look forward to opening the doors and welcoming customers later in the year," said Penneys' Head of Irish Retail Damien O'Neill.

"We are proud to support and invest in Irish towns and communities and this announcement today reflects our ongoing commitment to Irish retail."
