Andy Carroll has sent a message that appears to be directed at Eric Dier in the wake of the handball controversy in Newcastle United's 1-1 draw with Tottenham Hotspur.
The pair were at the centre of a major talking point late on in Sunday's Premier League encounter.
Newcastle were awarded a penalty after Carroll's header struck the outstretched arm of an unsuspecting Dier from close range.
Callum Wilson converted the resulting spot kick, prompting Spurs boss Jose Mourinho to storm off down the tunnel in disgust.
The incident sparked plenty of reaction about the current handball rule and how the laws of the game are implemented.
It seems Carroll - often penalised for his physicality in the air - had some sympathy for Dier.
The striker posted a picture on his Instagram account of a cartoon figure jumping up with their arms down by their side.
The image was accompanied by the caption: "Pencil Jumps Only Is The New Rule For Any Aerial Challenges.
"I Feel Your Pain!!"
Newcastle boss Steve Bruce said after the game: "I can understand why Spurs will go berserk.
"It is a total nonsense. I would be devastated if that was us. The decisions are ruining the spectacle."
Sky Sports pundit Jamie Carragher, meanwhile, branded the decision an "absolute disgrace".
But Carroll's fellow front man Wilson said of the handball rule: "It's absolutely marvellous, for me.
"It's got me on the scoresheet. Long may it continue, to be honest!
"Obviously, when it goes for you, it's nice but when it goes against you, obviously it's frustrating."
