A Sunday stroll with the dog before lunch can now come with a hearty meal at the end for both of you as one pub serves a full roast for both humans and their canine companions.
The Tai’r Bull Inn in Libanus, Brecon is making sure all visitors don't miss out by serving a doggy dinner for just £6.95 each week.
Don’t be fooled - this is no dog food alternative though, this is roast beef with all the trimmings followed by a dairy free ice cream by Utterly Mutterly.
Owner Katie Coop said: “It started with our dog who we would cut up chicken or leftover beef for on a Sunday and we thought, why don’t we do this for other dogs?”

Katie previously worked at The Red Lion in Llangorse where they would give sausages, treats and water to visiting dogs, and after moving to The Tai’r Bull Inn only six weeks ago she had the idea of serving roast dinners to dogs.
She said, “We’re right on the doorstep of Pen-y-Fan and the only pub on the Merthyr Road so there are probably more dogs than kids.
“My daughter Kayleigh is crazy about dogs and has always given treats to dogs. We give them blankets and towels if they’re wet and it kind of went from there.
“I went to B&M and got the proper little dog bowls and we made a thing of it.
“We charge £6.95 for two courses on a Sunday which is roast beef and Utterly Mutterly ice cream for dessert.
“In the week, we’ll cut up a couple of sausages in our dog bowls and that’s our chance to say, ‘Oh, these are free for your dog, are you aware we do this on a Sunday?’”
In the week, the team also serve burgers and sausages for the dogs, who have puffy cushions to lie on in front of a log fire and staff who will even take them out to go to the toilet, with dog poo bags provided.
Having a Chihuahua herself, Katie understands the difficulty non dog friendly venues can pose to dog owners.
She said: “Dogs are generally accepted everywhere now but especially with lockdown dogs, you want life to be as easy as possible.”
For the human visitors, The Tai’r Bull Inn on the A470 next to Pen-y-Fan serves up a fine roast starting at £10.95.
