Pelicans vs. Pistons: Prediction, point spread, odds, over/under, betting picks (Feb. 24)

After a dramatic comeback win over the Celtics, New Orleans (13-17) will look to build on that momentum against Detroit (9-22), and if you’re looking to do some last-minute betting research, you’re in luck! We’ll give you the latest point spread, moneyline odds and over-under number, as well as the information you’ll need to make the smartest bet on BetMGM.

Much has changed for the Pistons since their last meeting against the Pelicans, Neither Derrick Rose, who was traded to the Knicks, nor Blake Griffin, who is seeking a way out of Detroit, is in the rotation. In that last meeting, though, neither of those players played for the Pistons and the Pelicans still fell 123-112.

The lines, courtesy of BetMGM

  • Point spread: Pelicans -9.5
  • Moneyline: Pelicans -450/Pistons +340
  • Over-under: 228.5

Advice and prediction

Sunday may serve as a spark for the Pelicans as they close the first half of the regular season and likely is why they come in Wednesday’s game a heavy favorite. Sure, the Pistons are bad, but this number seems a bit reactionary, especially considering the Pelicans lost to Detroit earlier this season.

Until there’s a clearer sense of whether New Orleans turned a corner, continue taking the sure bet in over 228.5.

Prediction: Pelicans 118, Pistons 114.
