The Pelicans controlled Tuesday’s game from start to finish against the Lakers, winning comfortably on the night, 128-111.
After a back-and-forth first quarter, the Pelicans took control in the second period to open up a 13-point lead by halftime. Brandon Ingram exploded in the third quarter to put the game to rest, scoring 17 points in the period as part of his 36-point effort on the night.
The lead peaked at 30 points for the Pelicans in the second half as the result was never in doubt over the final three periods. Zion Williamson tallied 27 points in the victory while Kira Lewis Jr. had 16 points off the bench.
Josh Hart finished with a unique stat line of two points, 15 rebounds, five assists and five steals in 27 minutes off the bench.
