ATLANTA _ Despite playing much of the night without All-Star power forward Anthony Davis, who was in the locker room with a right knee contusion, the New Orleans Pelicans ran through the Atlanta Hawks, 112-94, in Philips Arena Tuesday night.
Led by guards Tim Frazier and E'Twaun Moore, the Pelicans (5-10) shot 52 percent from the field and connected on 11-of-25 three-point attempts. Fraizer had a double-double as he posted 21 points and 14 assists, and Moore contributed 15 points.
For the Hawks (9-5), guards Dennis Schroder and Kyle Korver were the lead men with 14 apiece on a night when six Hawks scored in double figures. Although power forward Paul Millsap avoided matching up with Davis for most of the night, he had just 10 points and eight rebounds. Davis' replacement, Terrance Jones, chipped in 17 points.
The Pelicans had 29 assists to go along with 23 fast-break points and held the Hawks to 34 points in the paint. This was Atlanta's third straight loss.
