Pele 'admitted' to hospital but condition 'not life-threatening'

Pele has been admitted to hospital in Paris.

The Brazilian, regarded as one of the all-time greatest footballers in world football , suffered a 'tetanus crisis', according to RMC Sport Radio.

The 78-year-old spent the majority of his career in Brazil playing for Santos before joining New York Cosmos for two years.

He scored 77 goals in 92 games for Brazil and won the World Cup on three occasions in 1958, 1962 and 1970.

Pele had met with PSG wonderkid Kylian Mbappe in the French capital and his condition is not thought to be life-threatening.

The French youngster has been compared to Pele and it was even suggested he could break his record of 100 goals.

But Mbappe said: "Even with the goals in playgrounds, goals on the PlayStation, I could never equal 1,250 goals.

“It’s really a long way off. I’ll try and get as close as I can, but I think I’ll still be a long way off by the end of my career."
