Manchester United's pursuit of Barcelona winger Pedro has moved a step closer, with the president of his former club, CD San Isidro saying that the 27-year-old's mother has confirmed to him that her son will be "leaving for England".
Pedro has been heavily linked with a £21m move to United this summer, with Angel Di Maria set to leave the Old Trafford club to join Paris Saint-Germain.
The Spain international left San Isidro to join Barca's youth team back in in 2004. The fourth tier Spanish club will also receive over £300,000 for Pedro's transfer.
"The other day, Pedro's mother told us he was leaving for England," Jamie Lorenzo, San Isidro's president, told El Larguero.
