Pedro Porro, Franck Kessie and the Tottenham transfer targets to complete Antonio Conte's squad

After a rocky start back from the World Cup break, Antonio Conte’s side will be hopeful their dominant display against Crystal Palace will help regain their start of the season form.

Despite a busy summer transfer window, which saw the arrivals of Ivan Perisic, Clement Lenglet, Richarlison, and the permanent transfer of Cristian Romero, Tottenham Hotspur have yet to make their first move for the winter window and much is unclear about Conte's future at the club.

In touching distance of the Premier League top four, Spurs will need to utilise the window to secure Champions League for next season and appease Conte, with several World Cup stars named as potential targets for the Lilywhites.

As part of our new Rank Your Targets initiative, we want to hear your thoughts on where Spurs are lacking and who they should be looking to bring in.

In an attempt to boost the right flank, Sporting Lisbon’s Pedro Porro has reportedly been identified as Tottenham’s top transfer target, with his 10 assists in 21 appearances at right wing-back giving Spurs plenty to think about.

It could be a double raid of the Portuguese side with Spurs keen on bringing Marcus Edwards back to north London. The former Spurs academy graduate left in 2019, moving to fellow Primeira Liga side Vitoria S.C before signing for Sporting in January 2022, where he has since scored a total of nine goals, including one against the North London side in the Champions League, along with nine assists.

Juventus midfielder Weston McKennie was an early name linked with a move to North London during the World Cup, after the American impressed in Qatar and Serie A, with the Italian side strapped for cash.

Another to impress in Qatar and appear on Conte’s radar was Brighton’s Alexis Mac Allister who helped Argentina to victory, which has sparked interest from both North London clubs, with the Seagulls likely to find it hard to hold onto their World Cup star.

Despite several names being thrown into the hat, it is reportedly Barcelona’s Franck Kessie who remains Conte’s 'favourite' for the midfield, with the La Liga side looking to reduce their wage bill, the former AC Milan player is said to be free to leave the club.

Looking ahead to next season and helping to steady the backline, Spurs could enter the German markets in order to secure their next target with Bayer Leverkusen centre-back Piero Hincapie attracting plenty of attention from London rivals at the World Cup.
