Pedro makes a decision on his future as Chelsea stars send Instagram messages to Jadon Sancho

Here is all the latest news from around Stamford Bridge in the past 24 hours.

Jovic could be the perfect Abraham partner

Chelsea are lacking goalscorers. After Tammy Abraham, their second highest scorer is Mason Mount, who has found the net just six times.

With the futures of Olivier Giroud and Michy Batshuayi both uncertain, signing another striker is going to be of paramount importance when the transfer window opens.

Luka Jovic was a revelation for Eintracht Frankfurt last season but has lacked opportunities at Real Madrid, raising the prospect that he could move on so soon after joining the club.

Alex Dicken has outlined four reasons why the Serbian striker could work well alongside Abraham if he chooses to sign for Chelsea.

Pedro makes future decision

The former Barcelona man, who has featured in just nine Premier League matches this season, has admitted that his time at Stamford Bridge is nearing the end.

After being a regular throughout his first four years at Chelsea, Pedro has played infrequently under Frank Lampard, and scored just two goals.

The 32-year-old doesn’t fit into the manager’s long-term plans and, with his contract set to expire at the end of June, he has now confirmed that he will be leaving the club.

“I’m terminating my contract, but right now it’s not the most important thing, nor have I stopped to think about it,” Pedro told Spanish radio network Cadena SER.

“From there on what has to do with my future will come, but right now it’s not the most important thing when you don’t even know when you’re going to train again.”

Chelsea stars message transfer target Sancho

Jadon Sancho has been in exceptional form for Borussia Dortmund this season, notching 14 goals and 16 assists in 23 Bundesliga appearances.

The England international, who only turned 20 yesterday, is one of the most exciting prospects in world football and is being pursued by a host of top clubs, including Chelsea.

Callum Hudson-Odoi and Tammy Abraham were both in touch with Sancho via Instagram, posting messages to celebrate his birthday.

Sancho looks set for a return to the Premier League after leaving Manchester City three years ago, with several clubs battling to sign him.

Manchester United and Chelsea are both set to feature in the race, with supporters hoping that the winger’s close friendship with Hudson-Odoi and Abraham could play a part in his decision.
