Pedro goal: Watch Chelsea double their lead in Europa League Final against Arsenal

Pedro has doubled Chelsea’s lead over Arsenal in the Europa League Final in Baku.

The Spain international was picked out by Eden Hazard in the middle of the penalty area, sweeping a precise effort across goal and into the bottom corner out of Petr Cech’s reach.

His strike came 11 minutes after Olivier Giroud opened the scoring for the Blues.

The France international moved out on his own as the competition’s leading scorer with 11 goals, getting across his marker Laurent Koscielny to latch onto Emerson Palmieri's cross with a superb stooping header.

He moves ahead of Frankfurt’s Luka Jovic on 10 goals with Arsenal striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang now three behind on eight.

The game’s opener came just four minutes into the second-half following turgid opening 45 in Baku.

Giroud had the best chance to open the scoring in the opening period, denied by Petr Cech who kept out his former side with a superb save in what is to be his last match before retirement.

Arsenal face the possibility of another season in the Europa League if they lose to London rivals Chelsea in tonight's final after their fifth place finish in the Premier League.
