Liverpool are braced to lose Rangers-linked midfielder Pedro Chirivella on a free this summer.
Steven Gerrard 's side are reportedly interested in the Spaniard as his deal at Anfield reaches its final stages.
The Liverpool Echo report the Merseyside giants have offered Chirivella a new five-year deal but believe it's likely he will reject it.
The Spaniard is said to have prioritised regular first-team football and would face a daunting path into Jurgen Klopp 's first team were he to remain with the Premier League leaders.
Chirivella is set to turn 23 next week, five years after his Liverpool debut as an 18-year old.
In that spell he went three years without making a senior appearance and his long-term future may be better served with a fresh start.
Rangers ' interest was reported on The Transfer Window podcast as Chirivella prepares to make his decision.
Wages, however, could be a stumbling block, not least in a Scottish football landscape set to be heavily affected by the coronavirus pandemic.
Ligue 1 side Nantes are also said to hold an interest in Chirivella, whose Liverpool stint has also been dotted with loan spells at Go Ahead Eagles, Willem II and Extremadura.
