Pedro Caixinha teases new job as former Rangers flop details his coaching masterplan

Resilient Pedro Caixinha is set for a switch Stateside as he nears a move to Major League Soccer.

The Rangers flop was binned by the Liga MX side Cruz Azul in August as fans campaigned for his dismissal after they missed out on the title.

Caixinha failed spectacularly during a disastrous seven-month stay in Glasgow, before it was mercifully brought to an end in October 2017

The much-travelled coach, who has worked in Qatar, Romania, Greece, Saudi Arabia and a short stint in the Premiership , is ready for his next adventure.

And he now wants to move to the MLS to continue his career.

He said: "I should have news about a new job in the next few days. The MLS is a league that excites me a lot because of its organisation, ambition and growth.

"It's a league I have studied closely and know well.

"I have offers to go there or to go to another club in Mexico and all will be revealed soon.

"My career has been interesting in the last six years or so. I have managed some really large clubs like Cruz Azul and Rangers.

"One day I will return to Portugal, that's my ambition, but for now I am happy to coach around the world and continue to pick up interesting experiences."
