Pedestrian taken to hospital with serious injuries after Stockport crash

A pedestrian has been taken to hospital with serious injuries after being hit by a vehicle in Stockport.

The smash happened at around 5pm today (Monday) on Bramhall Lane South, Bramhall.

The road remained closed for several hours.

It has since been reopened.

No arrests have been made.

A spokesman for GMP was unable to confirm the age or gender of the pedestrian.

It is also unclear whether their injuries are life-threatening.

The police spokesman said: "There was a road traffic collision on Bramhall Lane South.

"Police officers attended. A pedestrian was hit by a vehicle. One patient has been taken to hospital with serious injuries."
