Pedestrian taken to hospital after serious crash in Worksop

Roads were closed by police in Worksop on Sunday evening following a collision.

Police received a report of a collision involving a car and pedestrian in East Gate in Worksop at around 7pm on Sunday, October 18.

A spokesman for the force said "a male pedestrian suffered serious injuries and has been taken to hospital".

Sergeant Craig Luckett said: "We're working to establish how this collision has happened and have closed off the roads while we carry out the investigation.

"We're appealing to anyone who might have seen the crash or to drivers in the area around the time it happened who may have dashcam footage.

"The closures are at Carlton Road at the junction with East Gate and East Gate at the
junction with Sherwood Road as well as the George Street junction with East Gate

"They are expected to be in place until the early hours of tomorrow morning."
