A pedestrian has been taken to hospital following a crash in south Manchester.
The smash happened on Old Birley Street in Hulme this evening (Monday).
The road was taped off following the crash.
Police have not confirmed the age or gender of the pedestrian.
It is also unclear how badly injured they were.
A spokesman for GMP said: "We were called at 5.43pm to reports of a road traffic collision involving a car and a pedestrian on Old Birley Street.
"Emergency services remain at the scene.
"Enquiries are ongoing.
"One person has been conveyed to hospital."
TfGM also tweeted about the incident, saying the road was closed between Stretford Road and Phoenix Way.
They urged drivers to seek an alternative route to 'avoid delays'.
