A man has been taken to hospital following a crash in Newport city centre on Thursday evening.
Emergency services were called to Shaftesbury Street, near Shaftesbury Street Methodist Church, just after 7pm on Thursday, June 3 after reports of a collision between a car and a pedestrian.
One man was taken to University Hospital Wales, Cardiff for treatment. His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
Anyone with any information who has not yet spoken with officers is asked to contact Gwent Police.
A spokesperson for Gwent Police said: "We received a report of a road traffic collision involving a pedestrian and a car on Shaftesbury Street, Newport, yesterday shortly after 7.25pm.
"A man was taken to hospital for treatment. His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening. Anyone with any information who has not yet spoken with officers is asked to call 101 quoting reference 2100194328.

A Welsh Ambulance Service spokesperson said: "We were called to attend reports of a road traffic collision involving a pedestrian at 7.24pm last night, Thursday June 3 on Shaftsbury Street, Newport. We attended with a rapid response vehicle, an emergency ambulance, a critical care doctor and our emergency medical retrieval and transfer service.
"One patient was taken by road to University Hospital Wales, Cardiff for further treatment."
