Pedestrian suffers serious head injury after being hit by bus in Leeds city centre

A man has been left with a serious head injury after a crash with a bus in Leeds city centre last night.

Officers were called to the scene on Mill Hill, Leeds, at around 11.30pm, Tuesday, February 25, to reports of a collision involving a pedestrian and a bus.

The pedestrian, a man in his 60s, sustained a serious head injury and remains in hospital.

The bus had been travelling on Boar Lane before turning right onto Mill Hill.

A spokesperson for the force said: "Police are appealing for information following a serious road traffic collision on Mill Hill in Leeds city centre yesterday.

"At around 11.30pm, officers were called to a report of a collision involving a pedestrian and a bus.

"The pedestrian, a man in his 60s, sustained a serious head injury and remains in hospital."

Officers from West Yorkshire Police are now appealing for anyone who witnessed the collision to get in touch.

Anyone with information should call 101 or use the West Yorkshire Police online chat service, quoting log 1931 of February 25.
