A pedestrian has been struck in a collision on the M8 motorway.
Emergency services raced to the scene near Junction 22 Plantation Interchange on the eastbound at around 8:20pm this evening.
The carriageway is currently closed, with traffic going east being diverted via slip onto the M74. Junction 1 on the M77 northbound has also been closed,with all traffic being diverted onto Dumbreck Road.
A spokeswoman for Police Scotland said: "Emergency services in attendance following a crash involving a pedestrian on the M8 at Junction 22. There are no details on injuries.
"Diversion are in place."
