Pedestrian struck by vehicle on Edinburgh's Hanover Street

A pedestrian was knocked down on Hanover Street earlier this evening (April 19).

Emergency services attended the scene in Edinburgh city centre shortly before 7pm.

It is understood the man was crossing the road when he was struck by an oncoming vehicle.

A police spokeswoman said the victim was taken to Edinburgh Royal Infirmary. His injuries are not thought to be serious.
